Oh October, you do not disappoint. Even with quick iPhone snaps through my car window. Hard to be mad at the world when you get to drive to work each morning with an awesome sunrise accompanying you. Or enjoying late night festivities as the day is ending. Can you tell which is which?

Honeymoon Part 1

Where to start, where to start? It's surreal to me how we've ALREADY been married over a week, AND that we've already been to the Bahamas and back :( The Bahamas (in Nassau to be exact) is such a beautiful place. It's the same island that has the Atlantis Resort on it, which we could see in the distance down the coast from our resort. We really picked the perfect place to spend our honeymoon. We left cloudy, rainy Dallas and Atlanta to sunshine and white sand, blue water, and 80 degree weather! It's so crazy to me that we've already been back from there after spending the week out of the country.  Obligatory newlywed plane selfie Monday morning came dark and early at 4am to catch our first flight out of DFW. Happy 2015!

Cheers to the New Years! Hope it was lovely and celebratory and filled with lots of hopes and motivations for this upcoming 2015. I know this year is going to be the best one YET! We spent our New Years at a friends house, who had a great set up (including a DIY photo booth) and festive decorations! Plus a champagne-tasting contest, so we got to try a lot of different kinds of bubbly!  The best is yet to come! And it's so true. Each chapter that we embark on as a human being brings a new day and a new goal and new "best" days. When I was in high school, it was all about graduation it being the "best day," then we got to my 21st birthday, then my college graduation, then one of many relationship's anniversary, then getting my first big girl job and then turning 25, then to being proposed to, and now my next "best day" will be April 11, 2015. Yummy in my Tummy

Hope everyone had a great weekend! 'Tis the season for Friends-giving, Thanksgiving, Sweater Parties, and Christmas! We are finally getting to the part of the year where just about everything weekend from now until the end of the year is filled with some sort of activity. Last weekend we had a Friends-giving, and this weekend we had a birthday, a friendly get together, and a REAL Thanksgiving. Fortunately I only had to bring dessert, and figured I'd share a super easy dessert item that I've made 3 times in the past 3 weeks. Normally at Thanksgiving at my Parent's house I am in charge of the dessert items. I can cook just about anything, but desserts and baking are NOT my specialty, so it's a good time to practice. These don't have a "real" name, so I call them Oreo Funfetti Cake Bars, and I found the recipe on Pinterest. Robert and I LOVE Oreos (more like addicted...) and this was right up my alley of ease.
