October? October!

It’s fall fall fall! And more importantly, it’s October! Are you tired hearing about Fall and all things associated? Probably. Am I going to stop enjoying this time and exclaiming my exhilaration? Nope. #sorrynotsorry I so wish that Texas had actual fall seasons so we can enjoy the changes, but alas, 90 degrees will do I guess. For all y’all Northerners or East Coasters (I’m talking about you, sissy!), please PLEASE enjoy all of the pumpkin patches, leaves changing colors, hayrides, and crisp golden sunsets/sunrises for me. Since I don’t have any kids or pets to enjoy this time with, I can only remember how fun it was for me when I was growing up and the things I was looking forward to this time of year before you know, real life adult world happened. Everyone thinks it’s a cliché that Fall means pumpkin spice this and fuzzy boots that, but I think they just jelly because pumpkin spice smells GOOD! And fuzzy boots are warm. And Yoga pants are comfy. And hater’s gonna hate. This is m...

NT State Fair

First off-Happy Freakin September! Whaaaat?! In an attempt to actually keep up and document our shenanigans, especially for the start of my favorite part of the year, I present our annual Friday night NT State Fair-"celebrating" back to school, kick off to the start of football/fair season, good country music, better friends, and a pretty good time.  Highlights:  2 Hurradura shots of tequila, chilled and dressed at El Guapos. An epic selfie. Free koozies. Making a stop home at our old Gateway stomping grounds! This is also known as THE place that Robert and I met, became friends, and lived happily ever after-until we had to move out at the end of the summer. So many memories!  Lowlights: A hot sweaty mess of a crowd. Awful lighting for pics. No Wendy's on the way home because I forgot to stop and I was tired. Womp.  Honorable mention goes to the Saturday afternoon hang out with the in-laws followed by a small patio watch party for the rest of th...

Fall's a coming.

Spring Summer  FALL is in the air, I can feel it! Especially at lunch times when I walk out and it's only 80 degrees or so mid-day (we won't talk about how it's above 90 by the time I'm getting back from lunch). Texas say whaaaa?  I'm still trying to hold on to the last few glimpses of summer, which means a couple of lake weekends and an outdoor wedding in the next couple of weeks, and lets not forget tailgating and fair time which is still hot enough to be "considered" Summer. And lets be real-Texas doesn't really get a "Fall" and jumps right to winter right around November, but I'm going to pretend it's about to be fall anyway. My middle name isn't Autumn for nothing (okay, so maybe it does have to do with the fact that I was born the day before Autumn starts), but I digress! Give me those crisp golden sunsets and leaf changing and pumpkins and hot chocolate and boots-oh my! Texas, I know you've got in in you.  I'm...
