I do...me too!

#sorrynotsorry for the onslaught of photos coming your way! Now that we have all of our photos back from our April wedding, I'm trying to organize my thoughts and memories and feelings on just about everything! My number 1 question in life will most likely always be a version: How does life go so fast?! In a few short weeks it will be SEPTEMBER (AKA the greatest month of the year because, well, both my hubby and I were BORN!), and with that comes birthdays (as previously mentioned), football, state fair, concerts (Garth Brooks anyone?), Holidays, BOOTS!, and plenty more warm, snuggly, goodiness that I just love. Back to my point, it's important now more than ever to really just soak up these times, because being an adult doesn't get any slower, and life doesn't get a second chance, so this is why I post so many photos and reminisce over and over ;)  So next time you're alone or get a sec, take a deep breath. Thank the Lord that you're alive and well. Bask ...

Wedding Day Q & A's

What were you thinking when you woke up on your wedding day? I had planned on getting a good night's rest since I was staying at my parents' house in Flower Mound, so I didn't set an alarm. Low and behold my natural body clock thought it was time to get up for work, so I was awake and laying in bed as early at 6:30 (but really, I didn't get much sleep at all!), just thinking over and over that I couldn't believe that this day was here, and we finally get to showcase everything that we had been working towards the past 15 months, and most importantly, I finally got to marry my best friend. It was a very surreal day that I look back at and I think I was just completely numb to my feelings (probably because I felt very uncomfortable being the very center of attention all day long).  Where did you get your dress/who designed it? I got my dress at Lasting Bridal Couture in Addison, in which I had already scoped them out months before Robert and I ever even...

6 things I love for 6 years of love

A long long time ago, in a galaxy far away (okkk so just up the road in good ol Denton, TX), a 22 year old boy asked/told a 20 year old girl to be his girlfriend late one night after a graduation party. This was about 5 months into their friendship. The young girl didn't know what she was getting herself into, and luckily she took took a leap of faith and looky: after a summer of pool parties and summer jobs, they became a 28 year old husband and a 26 year old wifey this year, and they lived happily ever after! 6 short (or long) years later (I can't decide if it's gone fast or gone slow), and here we are! Over half a decade of love. moving closer to double digit years every single day. How is this my life? I love that this is my life! I also love... 1...the way that the husband kisses/hugs me goodbye every morning while I'm snoozing until my actual alarm goes off. we also play this game of him trying to grab my feet through the covers, and it makes me remem...

Mr. and Mrs. Rivera

Y'all I'm married! A wife! A Rivera!  How do you even start to describe the most beautiful (yet busiest!) day of your life? They weren't kidding when they said it would fly by. I blinked and it was over and we were unpacking boxes and picture frames and cake the next day. I felt sort of out-of-body to the whole experience. I honestly didn't even have time to worry or get nervous about anything because things were were shuffling by so fast that it was like an out of body experience where I was just going through everything and nothing phased me. It went perfectly-I don't know of anything that didn't go the way that it was supposed to, and even the small things that sort of messed up I didn't even care. I was told several times that I was too laid back for a bride on her wedding day. The rehearsal dinner/day was actually more stress-inducing than anything with trying to get everyone there at one time and saying hi to everyone (wi...

Los Hermanos: Couple's Shower

This past weekend Robert and I had our Couple's Shower that was generously hosted by his parents at Los Hermanos. We had most of our family/lake/deer lease friends there, and my parents finally got to meet everyone who I've been getting cray cray with over the past 5-6 years! It truly is overwhelming the amount of support that we have from all of our family and friends, and I'm just lucky that I found a fiancĂ© who has such a great family and tight knit group of friends that welcomed me with open arms.  I think my face is just now getting back to normal-I was almost sore this morning from smiling and laughing so much yesterday, and it really is just a great problem to have! Robert's parents and his sister had such a great set up too-from the bridal dress cake to the bride and groom cake pops (that were so SO delish and I failed to get a pic of, wahhh), which were all homemade. I'm a sucker for the little things and all of these sweet little things are so cute an...
