Mother Nature, for as much as I love your ways, I really CAN'T STAND what you're doing to Texas right now! I am so dang cold, and it's too frozen to go anywhere-though we did run some errands this morning just to get out but I am going a wee bit stir crazy, and it hasn't even been that long being in the house!  Yesterday, we had to the most beautiful, Christmas-y, snow fall for at least 6 straight hours (I don't think that has EVER happened in my most recent memory, especially in Texas, and especially especially since it was nice and balmy and sunny not two days before), and it was just picture perfect. It should have been a movie scene. There should have also been Christmas lights up, instead of it being just about March. There was no ice, which was reserved for earlier that week and then the weekend. This past weekend I got to do something that I've always wanted to do and just never did, until we just...did! Painting. With a twist. The twist probably meaning BYOB and what not, so there were some pretty interesting conversations and people watching going on. Including a 12 year old Birthday Girl talking about her "5 shades of gray" paint on her canvas, and the lady with the club dress (with heels!) that definitely thought it was appropriate painting attire. We went with a group of friends and it was a blasty blast! Definitely want to go back since they had some really cool looking paintings on the walls that I want to try.  I'm more of a drawer, not a painter, so this was fun to branch out and see how it came out. Wow what a weekend! Full of love, laughter, and the beginnings of a happily ever after! The greatest and cleverest ladies of mine put together THE cutest little Bridal Shower set up, and it was a blast! It was pretty much Pinterest paradise, and it was perfect.  Every little touch was just a little slice of sunshine, from the entry way "date jar" idea and recipe box, the pictures on canvas, to the mimosa bar (my fave), the delicious lunch (and strawberry feta salad!), to the table dedicated to sweets.  The little details on everything was just too cute, and it was fun seeing all of the little things that the girls had put together.  And of course they had me "practice" my cake cutting skills-since everyone knows it's a piece of vital information that you will need for an actual wedding!  The games we played were so funny! I've never played any bridal shower games before, so this was all new to me too. 

And in less than 2 months he will be my forever husband. <3
