Snow Day!

Mother Nature, for as much as I love your ways, I really CAN'T STAND what you're doing to Texas right now! I am so dang cold, and it's too frozen to go anywhere-though we did run some errands this morning just to get out but I am going a wee bit stir crazy, and it hasn't even been that long being in the house!

Yesterday, we had to the most beautiful, Christmas-y, snow fall for at least 6 straight hours (I don't think that has EVER happened in my most recent memory, especially in Texas, and especially especially since it was nice and balmy and sunny not two days before), and it was just picture perfect. It should have been a movie scene. There should have also been Christmas lights up, instead of it being just about March. There was no ice, which was reserved for earlier that week and then the weekend. I was stuck at work all day, which was a blessing in disguise because it only took me my regular time to get home after work (with no traffic!), while it seemed like the rest of the metroplex was released at noon and took most people over 3 HOURS to get home.

I did manage to snag a few photos, but they don't really do the snow justice for how pure it was.

**You can't tell but it's still coming down**

**The aftermath of trying to stay ahead of the game for the ride home. Thank goodness for space heaters and fuzzy socks to wear while my boots dry off!**

**Our prepping included keeping the wipers from getting stuck and windshield being cleared off. Which you can't even tell had been done by the time 5 o clock rolled around**

**It's a mess**

**Not knowing what to expect on my ride home, but very grateful that I made it without any troubles and that I also had a nice hot French Vanilla to keep me company as well**

**And finally made it home sweet home to our cute little home dusted in white**

Moral of my story is okay, snow is pretty. But what I am really saying is when is it going to be warm again? And stay warm? The end of my nose and my fingers can't take it much longer! I need a tan and a bathing suit and pina colada by the beach-STAT!

Right, Mother Nature?

Honeymoon Part 1

Where to start, where to start? It's surreal to me how we've ALREADY been married over a week, AND that we've already been to the Bahamas and back :( The Bahamas (in Nassau to be exact) is such a beautiful place. It's the same island that has the Atlantis Resort on it, which we could see in the distance down the coast from our resort. We really picked the perfect place to spend our honeymoon. We left cloudy, rainy Dallas and Atlanta to sunshine and white sand, blue water, and 80 degree weather! It's so crazy to me that we've already been back from there after spending the week out of the country.  Obligatory newlywed plane selfie Monday morning came dark and early at 4am to catch our first flight out of DFW. I was proudly wearing my super comfy new "wifey" sweatshirt that my friend/bridesmaid Shohreh got me-thank goodness she stalks me on Pinterest ;) along with our brand spankin new wedding bands. Robert's ring looks so good against his ...

Happy 2015!

Cheers to the New Years! Hope it was lovely and celebratory and filled with lots of hopes and motivations for this upcoming 2015. I know this year is going to be the best one YET! We spent our New Years at a friends house, who had a great set up (including a DIY photo booth) and festive decorations! Plus a champagne-tasting contest, so we got to try a lot of different kinds of bubbly!  The best is yet to come! And it's so true. Each chapter that we embark on as a human being brings a new day and a new goal and new "best" days. When I was in high school, it was all about graduation it being the "best day," then we got to my 21st birthday, then my college graduation, then one of many relationship's anniversary, then getting my first big girl job and then turning 25, then to being proposed to, and now my next "best day" will be April 11, 2015. And from there on it keeps on and on. Isn't that exciting?  Each day I'm workin...

Fiesta! Fiesta! Fiesta!

Viva Fiesta! Viva San Antonio! Viva la Alamo! This past weekend we spent a (short) day squeezing in all of our normal Fiesta activities since Robert and I thought last minute that it would just be too weird if we had missed out on our annual Fiesta trip that we've gone on the past 5 years. So we road tripped it out on Friday afternoon (BIG mistake) and finally made the 4 hour journey in about 6 hours-thank you Dallas traffic and thank you 18-wheeler for hanging off the bridge in Hillsboro; I just love being stuck in your traffic for an hour and a half while we watched a thunderstorm rapidly approach going 0mph on the highway. Goodness gracious. But we made it! And Jessica was there, amongst her peeps for the first time ;)  Saturday started out pretty slow. I had all of these expectations for Jessica to see and we get to the Market Square and it's pretty empty. THEN we tried to hit up our annual photo booth spot and they were closed. So we went on a walk and ended up down b...
